The training years of an Artist

David Dimitri left the USA three times in order to work in Switzerland. It wasn’t his nostalgia that brought him back. It was an engagement with Circus Knie. His return brought back old childhood memories: As a little boy he had already been touring with the Swiss National Circus together with his whole family for 2 years.

Even though work in the circus was David Dimitri’s main area, he was easily drawn to other cultural projects. "Annie", a Hollywood film was for example one of them, the Metropolitan-Opera New York wanted him for the production of "Manon", the Canadian Cirque du Soleil puzzled out concepts with him, and so on.

In 1992 he performed at the Cirque du Soleil as principal character of the "Roi de fou".
